Exercise may reduce colorectal cancer risk after weight loss

New research suggests that exercise is a key factor in reducing colorectal cancer risk after weight loss. According to the study, physical activity causes beneficial changes in the bone marrow. The study is published ahead of print in the American Journal of Physiology-Endocrinology and Metabolism.

Reflecting on U.S. military's contribution to global AIDS response

"As we look forward to World AIDS Day this year, I'm amazed at how far we've come in the battle against HIV and how effectively U.S. government agencies continue to work collaboratively towards an AIDS-free generation," Richard Shaffer, director of the U.S. Department of Defense HIV/AIDS Prevention Program, writes in the AIDS.gov blog.
